Lent, a 40-day reflective period prepares Christians for Easter, commemorating Jesus' 40 days in the desert with acts of self-awareness, charity, and increased devotion. St. James Episcopal Church will host dance nights 7-8pm on the Sunday evenings of Lent as a way of deepening relationships during the season. Anyone of any age is welcome, invite friends or a group from your congregation. Come once or more - whatever works for you.
Snacks and water will be available, and you’re welcome to add food and other beverages to the table. People will be given a quick ‘get to know you’ question for talking with someone they don’t know both before we dance and during an intermission. Dress casually for comfort. Enter via rear Gilbo Avenue parking lot door.
